Sesame Street is an American Institution. It first aired November, 1969 and pre-schoolers have not been the same since. The original characters are still there and children love them just as much.
An important part of Sesame Street has been the songs and dittys sung by the characters and guests. This song book published in 1971 by Simon and Schuster in conjunction with Children's Television Workshop. Words and music are by Joe Raposo and Jeffrey Moss with arrangements by Sy Oliver. The pages are illustrated in bold black and white by Loretta Trezzo.
The book contains 38 songs including the theme song, AB-C-DEF-GHI, The People in Your Neighborhood, Being Green, and I Love Trash. It has a table of contents in the front and an index of songs and an index of first lines at the end. It has 127 pages.
The book is hardback with sturdy library binding. Yellow cloth covered boards impressed with black and orange cloth spine. There is no dust jacket. Condition of the book is near fine. No writing or torn pages inside and the cover and binding is solid. Just the slightest hint of handling so can't be classed as fine.
It's SBN is 671-21036-X. It is a stated first printing.
