The Second Post compiled by E. V. Lucas is a collection of letters sent to and from some rather notable personages including Charles Dickens, Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Carlyle and many lords, ladies and peers of the realm. It is a companion book to the 1907 collection The Gentlest Art.
The book was published by Metheun & Co. Ltd. in 1910. It has cloth boards with gold embellishment. Gilt edging on top edge but bottom and front ends are either worn away or never were gilt. The book is solid inside and out with minor browning for its age. 266 pages No writing.
