An excellent look at Edouard Manet by Pierre Schneider for the Time-Life Library of Art and published originally in 1968 and reprinted in 1975.
It is not so much a look at Manet but at the birth of Impressionism for which Manet is primarily given the credit. He died at 51 but those just starting their painting careers exhibited his influence.
The book is in fine condition in near fine slip-case. Spine is printed The World of Manet Time-Life Library of Art. 192 pages. Lots of illustrations in full color and black and white.
