A charming sketch of a thatched cottage done in black ink and watercolor wash. This is a tiny picture that is only 7.25 x 7.50 inches including the mat and frame.
The frame is very nice gold embellished wood. The print is matted in dark olive green. It was professionally framed, back sealed and is wired ready to hang.
The artist has written "New Forest Cottage" in the bottom left of the picture. This is preceded by ....wa but whatever precedes the wa is hidden by the mat. I'm not sure if this is an imaginary cottage or is an actual cottage in the New Forest National Park in the UK. There are thatched cottages there. Whichever it is a calming, sweet picture that will be great as part of a picture grouping especially in a child's room.
The picture is in perfect condition. I could not get a photo without some degree of flash glare.
