Here are 2 of the 10 volumes that make up this collection of detective stories. The authors for the most part precede the ones we associate with great detective fiction today. While this listing is for the 2 volumes, if you contact me before purchase I will sell the volumes separately. Listed price is for 2 volumes.
All volumes are from the same print edition published in 1929 by Funk & Wagnalls Company. The stories were edited by Eugene Thwing. The original copyright and publishing date was August 11, 1910. I have volumes III and VIII. Each volume contains 10 stories.
Vol. III contains Melville Davisson Post, Hermon Landon, Freeman Wills Crofts, Frederick Irving Anderson, Bertram Atkey and John Ferguson.
Vol. VIII contains Ernest Bramah, Arthur Somers Roche, Sax Rohmer, H. de Vere Stacpode, Gilbert Frankau, and Evelyn Johnson and Gretta Palmer.
Condition: Very good for 90 year old books, pages tanning with age, covers intact with the odd break at the spine but with no lose pages. Covers are burgundy cloth boards. Pocket size format. No dust jackets. No ISBNs.
Photos show 5 volumes that I started out with.
