This coffee table book is a reference book for art history. It was published in 1964 by Doubleday and contains hundreds of black and white and color photographs. The photos are typical of those found in books of that era. This book is for information, not its gloriously colored reproductions of paintings. It has a table of contents and an index as well as a list of museums where the represented artworks are located. I wouldn't want to bet on its accuracy today.
The book is in excellent condition. It comes in a slipcase with a detail from Seurat's 'L'apres-midi sur la grande jatte.' The slipcase has slight corner wear but otherwise is in very good condition. This is an oversize book at 13x9 inches.
