Pearl Buck was required reading when I was in school. I hadn't thought of her in decades when I found this book. It is a hardcover, 1st Canadian edition, published in 1946 by Longmans, Green and Company, Toronto.
The condition is very good. No dust jacket, cover has small pavillion in red. Pages have browned but none are loose or torn. Previous owner's name on end paper. A dated sticker has been torn out with just a few shreds remaining. End papers are pictures of a scenic oriental screen with a table on which rests a large bowl of chrysanthemums and a container of Chinese calligraphy pens and brushes.
There is a date stamp on the back end paper.
If this was a library book, the rest of the evidence has been thoroughly removed. 316 pages.
