A very rare children's book. The legend of Finn MacCoul has been passed down orally for generations. This version was told to the author by his father and grandfather. It's about a showdown between friendly and mean giants and the wife who thinks about it and saves the day.
From Oxford University Press 1990. Looks like a first edition. Author is Tom Harpur. Charming and imaginative illustrations by Linda Hendry. The book is a glossy hard cover and doesn't appear to have been read. No marks or dog ears and the spine is tight.
