This exceptional foray into the life of one of our theatrical greats is also a peek into the social history and art of the period when Coward was king. This book, which Coward authorized is edited by John Hadfield (see letter from Coward praising him for his efforts written just days before his death). It is published by William Heinemann Limited, London. As far as I can make out this is a first edition. There is no number line but the ISBN is 434 310905.
The book is more a compilation of illustrations than a biography so it's ideal for people who like to look at pictures. This is a wonderful addition to the library of any Coward fan, theatre student, or social historian. There is a great portrait of Coward by Edward Seago on the frontispiece. The book is in excellent condition in an unclipped jacket. A very gift worthy volume. The white spot in the photo is from camera flash.
