This particular book was copyrighted in 1969 by Rosemary Wells and published by Young Scott Books, a division of Addison-Wesley Publishing. This copy is ex-library. Pocket has been removed and other than one small library stamp the only evidence is remnants of the spine sticker. The illustrations are great. Kids of all ages will enjoy these stories. Great read aloud tales.
Claims people make that these books are first editions are questionable. They may be first editions of the Wells copyright but these stories were traditionally told at darkened Halloween parties and around campfires when I was a child.
